Bellagio, The Hotel Of Las Vegas

Opening on October 15,’98, Bellagio is one of the most dramatic and awe-inspiring resorts on the Las Vegas Strip. It is an AAA Five Diamond award winning hotel and features an eight-acre lake located between the hotel and the strip. The design was inspired by the Lake Como resort of Bellagio in Italy.

Owned by MGM Mirage and built by Steve Wynn, Bellagio is located on the lot previously held by the Dunes hotel. It neighbors Ceasars Palace to the north, Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas directly across the strip, and the new MGM development City Center is just south of the resort. Many other resorts are within walking distance. Some of these are the Mirage, the Imperial Palace, Harrah’s, and more.

Covering the ceiling of the lobby are 2000 beautiful, colorful, glass flowers that were hand blown for the hotel. They are simply stunning to look at, and always create a fine first impression.

Come see O, Cirque Du Solei’s masterpeice, at Bellagio. O means water in Italian, and the show centers around a 1.5 million gallon tank of it, as 85 acrobats and swimmers perform in and above it. Also check out the fountains in Bellagio’s eight acre lake. They move to popular tunes, and hundreds of spectators line the sidewalks every day to see them.

To see works by Picasso, Monet, and Van Gogh, take a stop by the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art. For a little insight, take and audio tour through the massive gallery. Also be sure to visit the conservatory and the Botanical Gardens. These beautiful flowers change according to season and are by far some of the most beautiful you will ever seen.

Bask in the sun at Bellagio’s spectacular pool, or try your luck at their extremely large casino. Relax at the world class spa, dance the night away at several nightclubs, and dine at over 20 restaurants. All of this centers around the spectacular pool, where you can work at your tan.
