Hawaii History

Not much is shared by historians on the early history of Hawaii. This period of time remains in obscurity up to the current point in time. It is documented that Hawaii became populated over five hundred years ago. This took place before European sailors sailed away from their home lands in search of The New World! Polynesians used large double-hulled canoes for their voyages. They had to improvise since a compass was not at their disposal. Using keen observation and taking great detail of the sky, ocean currents, marine life and migratory birds helped them travel successfully over the oceans. It is well noted that the majority of volcanic islands were primitive made it challenging for human life. The Polynesians were well aware of this and made the necessary preparation for their life changing journey.
