All Tariffs Catered For Without Diminishing The Service

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Overview

This tour of Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels took us through some incredible scenery en route to the hotels we were due to stay in for the duration of our trip. We decided that we would enjoy total luxury and sumptuous living for a couple of days in order to acclimatize ourselves to Cusco’s altitude which, at 11,000 feet above sea level, certainly takes a bit of getting used to. Whilst we opted to stay at La Casona, there are many more extremely good hotels in the Cusco area that are all professional and efficient, treating their guests for altitude sickness with supplies of oxygen.

From La Casona to Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

I have to say that, during our stay in Cusco, the hotels we came to know, from guests staying in them, catered extremely well for all their guests’ needs and were all extremely comfortable, at all ends of the tariff spectrum. There was time for a stroll around the market at Pisac and time for a quiet afternoon taking photographs of the stunning scenery. The next morning, after booking out of La Casona, we took the train to Aguas Calientas, en route for our visit to Machu Picchu. Maybe it was my sense of anticipation that made me shiver, but I decided to shun the blankets provided on the train and put on a jumper that I had brought with me. We got off the train at Aguas Calientas and made our way to the hotel that we had booked.

Fulfilled All our Expectations

Despite the fact that this hotel was not too far from the railway station, in terms of setting, it could be a million miles away, filled as it was with delightfully manicured gardens and trickling streams. As far as hotels go in the Cusco and Machu Picchu area, this hotel could certainly hold its head up as being amongst the best! When you consider that we had never seen either of these hotels before and, even though we had done our homework before booking, it was still a risk. I can honestly say, though, that in the case of both the hotels we stayed at, La Casona and Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, we had struck lucky both times. Both these Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels were exactly what we had hoped for when we booked them. We were certainly not disappointed and can quite easily recommend both Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels to anybody visiting this area in the future.

Assiduous Care And Attention From The Staff At Our Hotels In Cusco

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Overview

Hotels in Cusco are well used to newly-arrived guests needing a quick dose of oxygen, with Cusco situated at around 11,000 feet above sea level. Usually 10 minutes is sufficient to restore you to ebullient health although I wouldn’t recommend attempting to climb Huana Picchu! We had arranged to be collected from the airport but, since our plane was rather late arriving, we didn’t hold out a lot of hope that they would still be there by the time we had come out of Arrivals. However, they were there, patiently waiting for us with the hotel’s shuttle bus. This set the tone for our holiday, to be quite honest.

Dignified Peace

We were booked into three hotels in the Cusco area, the first one in the town of Cusco itself to give us time to get acclimatized to the altitude, the second at Aguas Calientas for our much-awaited experience of Mucho Picchu, whilst our third hotel was again in Cusco to give us a chance to visit some of the other sites we wanted to see in the archeological dream of a town. That first morning, jet-lagged though we were from our long flight from Europe and second flight to get to Cusco, but we did full justice to the very tasty buffet breakfast. Although this hotel was right in the centre of Cusco, it maintained a dignified quiet about the whole premises.

Ceremonial City of the Incas

Our trip to Machu Picchu was everything we had expected and more. How can you possibly describe something as breathtakingly lovely and ethereal as this incredibly ancient site hovering on the edge of the world, wreathed in low-flying clouds so that the granite peaks hovered into view every now and then as the clouds cleared? We travelled around the area of Cusco where the Amazon vegetation meets the Andes and, knowing that our hotels in Cusco would be available to offer us peace and relaxation at the end of each day enabled us to make the most of every day of our visit.

Ollantaytambo and Pisac

Overall, we visited Ollantaytambo at the end of our holiday and stayed overnight there before making our way back to Cusco and then, the next, day finished our holiday with a visit to the market at Pisac. I have to say, however, that if it wasn’t for the standard of care and assiduous attention from the staff at each of the hotels we stayed in, I don’t think our holiday would have been anywhere near as enjoyable as it was.

Ten Steps To Make Your Oceanfront Home Appealing To Prospective Buyers

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

1. Remove Clutter. Time to throw away any old newspapers and magazines. Box up any belongings that are not needed. Pack up any clothing that is not needed so that closets appear larger. Remove any belonging from the garage. Allow your potential buyers the opportunity to visualize their belongings in the oceanfront home.

2. Wash your windows and screens. Washing the windows will allow more light into the home and will allow buyers to see the beautiful view. Plus, dirty windows are a turn off.

3. Time to give your ocean home a good spring cleaning. Clean the floors and shampoo the carpet. Wipe off any dirt or fingerprints from door knobs, and light switch plates. Wipe down the cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. Give your appliances a through cleaning. Help your oceanfront home make a good first impression.

4. Make room brighter by replacing blown and dim light bulbs to make rooms brighter. Before buyers arrive, turn on the lights and open the curtains to let as much light as possible in.

5. Make any repairs that you can find. Minor repairs like door adjustments, torn or missing window screens, caulk on exterior doors and windows and interior counter tops and tubs, broken or missing electrical cover plates, and dripping faucets will make a good first impression. Don’t know what to repair, why not get a sellers home inspection. This will show you what the buyers home inspector would see and give you the opportunity to repair the items before the buyers knows they were ever an issue. You can also market the ocean home as being pre-inspected.

6. Get the most out of your curb appeal. Mow the lawn, trim the shrubbery, rake straw and leaves, and edge the driveway and walks. Plant some bright colored seasonal flowers and place some potted plants near the entry to brighten up the landscape.

7. Repair cracks and holes that exist in the driveway. Once repaired apply a sealant for added protection.

8. Clean dirty gutters.

9. Change the front door hardware and house numbers.

10. Get rid of smells. Clean carpeting and drapes to eliminate cooking odors, smoke, and pet smells. If carpets are old and need replacing, it is worth while to replace them. The additional price you receive for your house will most likely outweigh the expense. Open the windows to air out the home.

The Diversity Of Peru Hotels Are As Different As The Country Itself

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Overview

Peru is a country of extremes and contradictions: for a country that offers so much diversity you need to choose a travel company that fully understands and appreciates the vast differences this delightful country has to offer, as well as experience some of the uniquely different Peru hotels along the way.

The Peruvian Amazon

This is a huge expanse that covers more square kilometers that France, Germany and Spain put together. Here you can still experience remnants of the rubber trade, as well as enjoy the sights of the Port of Belen which is known for its floating houses. For the total Amazon experience there are plenty of Peru hotels to choose from, including the Amazon Lodge where you can take night canoeing and piranha fishing trips on its 300 acre site, as well as well supervised trips into the jungle.

Another city within the Peruvian Amazon, but many kilometers further south, is the city of Pucallpa. There are plenty of Peru hotels to choose from here, so there is certainly no shortage of places to stay. The reason for staying here has to be the Cueva de las Lechuzas, otherwise known as the Owls’ Cave. As its name suggests, this cave is the home of many owls as well as the most exquisite stalactites and stalagmites that make this area well worth a visit.

The South of Peru

Further south than Machu Picchu, in the Atacama Desert and close to the Pacific Ocean, is situated, you will find the town of Tacna, situated just 35 kilometers from the Chilean border. Take a stroll along the Plaza de Armas and enjoy the promenade lined with palm trees. Tacna is renowned for its extensive artifact markets, taking full advantage of its duty-free status. The Tacna Grand Hotel is located within the centre of Tacna where you can book a full suite for just $100, although amenities are limited.

Peru has so much to Offer

Flights run daily from Lima to many other localities in Peru which are all well worth visiting if you have the time. You might consider the far north of Peru, close to the Ecuador border, in the location of the Tumbes River with its shrimp farms and sugar white sandy beaches, or the other towns along the north Peru coast. Here, at Huaca Rajada the tomb of Seor de Sipn, a ruler from 400 AD, was discovered. Little is still known about him, but the priceless artifacts buried with him can be exclaimed over at Lambayeque, housed in the Brning Museum. There are plenty of local Peru hotels to stay in around Lambayeque, or towns close by.

Cusco And Machu Picchu Hotels Are Ideally Placed To Visit The Old Peak

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Overview

Whilst becoming acclimatized we took an amiable stroll around the unforgettable sites of Cusco, starting at the Plaza de Armas. I’m afraid our amble took on all the characteristics of a route march which left us thrilled, but exhausted. However, we did see Sacsayhuaman Fortress and the Tambomachay ‘Virgin Baths’ during our short stay in Cusco. There is a wide range of really good hotels in Cusco and, no matter whether you can afford to spend a lot, or just a little, there is a hotel to suit you. In fact, we found that all the Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels we came across were superb, both in their treatment of guests and in the standard of the accommodation on offer.

Dizzying Altitude

Splurging out at the start of our holiday, we had booked into La Casona - mainly to enjoy an opulence that normally we could never have experienced in our wildest dreams. Of all Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels, this is certainly the most opulent one. Aside from being the very first boutique hotel opened in Cusco, its other claim to fame is its total privacy in the midst of such a busy city. La Casona, one of Inkaterra’s hotels, has just 11 suites in which to accommodate guests. Nevertheless, it is worth the expense because you really do need to get used to the particularly thin quality of the air that can leave you gasping for breath and make you dizzy if you do too much too quickly.

Peace and Tranquillity

Once we arrived at Aguas Calientas, the village just a 15 minute drive from Machu Picchu, we booked into our hotel which held a further surprise for us. It was set amongst 12 acres, complete with waterfall and trickling streams, flotillas of butterflies. This is Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels at their best! Aside from Machu Picchu itself, which is unforgettable, staying at this hotel there are plenty of other things to do. The hotel itself is situated alongside the Vilcanota River and you can just want to enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the gorgeous gardens around you whilst eating a gourmet meal in the hotel’s restaurant.

There are plenty of other Cusco and Machu Picchu hotels of different standards, both in Cusco itself and in Agua Calientes. In fact, there is even a hotel up at the Machu Picchu site itself. Personally, however, I would choose to stay at the Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel, amidst its 12 acres of peace and tranquility in what is, generally, quite a strenuous holiday.

Reasons To Stay In Chalets Worldwide

Monday, June 7th, 2010

The chalets in which herders used to stay in countries such as Switzerland have come a long way since the early days. There are many different types and styles of chalet that can be found in many countries around the world, most of which are open to visitors.

The experience of staying in a chalet is like no other you will have in your life. Many of the features that come as standard in many chalets include sun terraces, traditional, open fireplaces and spectacular views of the countryside. Most of the rooms in a chalet will have room for children’s cots, leaving no excuse for not taking a young family on the vacation of a lifetime!

Many people rent luxury chalets in places including Switzerland and France throughout the year. The luxury options usually comes with additional perks such as outdoor hot tubs, saunas and private parking spaces. The majority of chalet vacations are self-catering options with staff only making an appearance to change bed linen, change towels and clean. There is the somewhat unusual (but increasing in popularity) option of having the staff stay in the chalet with you. This lets them be close at hand should you need anything such as meals cooked or fresh towels. The aim of this is to provide you with an unbeatable first class service.

Most of the chalets that are available for rent are situated at world renowned ski resorts. This accommodation offers the opportunity to have somewhere comfortable to rest after spending a day snowboarding or skiing, all with breathtaking scenery thrown in. Your chalet could be situated half way up a monstrous mountain, giving you a wondrous view when you wake up the next morning.

If you are considering using a chalet on a fairly frequent basis, it is worth thinking about buying a property of your own. There are various different types, styles and sizes to choose from and many are for sale all around the globe. The expense involved in buying a chalet may not be as much as you think and could be seen as a sound investment. Many people rent out their chalet to others when they are not using them themselves. Some of the best areas to buy a chalet are France and America.

The other major benefit of staying in a chalet is that you are a stone’s throw away from other amenities and facilities. If you love nature, shopping or some tasty food at a fine restaurant, there are many places that have these amenities very close by to the chalets. There is usually a lot around the chalet for visitors to see and do - or you could just delight in the comforts of your wonderful accommodation!

The advantages of staying in or owning Blue Mountain chalets is a great opportunity. You get all the comfort you would expect of a luxury hotel but a warm, charming and stylish environment to indulge in. Staying in a chalet is truly a unique experience.

The Difficulty of Getting Rid of Your Timeshare

Friday, May 14th, 2010

With the ongoing crisis that the global economy is experiencing today, no sane individual would continue to pay for something that provides insufficient returns or nothing at all. Then, why do timeshare owners keep paying for hefty maintenance fees, special assessments, exchange fees, property taxes and other associated fees every year even though they might not even use their timeshares? The contracts they sign for the timeshare commit them to annual donation. If you think a timeshare is a good investment, you are in for a rude awakening! It’s time to realize that a timeshare, if you own one, can drown you to a lifetime of liability and possibly poverty.

Haven’t you wonder why many timeshare owners are in direly getting rid of their timeshare? Well, who would want to be billed annually with hefty maintenance fees along with assessments and other timeshare associated fees even if you didn’t even got a chance to use the unit? Moreover, as much as these timeshare owners wanted to dispose of their timeshare property, they couldn’t just simply get it off of their hands. With the 5 common ways, most timeshare owners use to help them get rid of their timeshare, none of them proved to be effective. Why? Read on these 5 ways and find out the reason why it didn’t serve its purpose for them.

1.Sell Your Timeshare. Yes, selling your timeshare maybe the very first thing on your mind in order to get rid of it but this task may turn out very hard to fulfill. Just so you know, there are a lot of timeshare owners like you who are also striving hard to sell their timeshare. In fact, they have tried doing all the possible measures but to no avail, they are still carrying the burden of paying those timeshare associated fees and back to back with with paying the advertising fees. Have they found any buyer? None so far! And how long will this take them? No one knows!

2. Rent Your Timeshare. If you can’t sell it then maybe you can rent it out. It can be a great idea but has it been successful? With timeshare owners competing against each other and timeshare developers keeping up with the competition as well, the chance of renting it out is certainly very thin. Actually, timeshare owners are outwitted by timeshare developers because they offer more discounts plus the cost of rent are lower than what timeshare owners offer.

3.Donate your timeshare to charities. It’s good of you to donate your timeshare property to charities but thinking about the financial burden it may cause them, i don’t think that timeshare unit you’ve given them would be a blessing nor would they even consider you as such. Anyway, charities nowadays have become wiser and would refuse to take this kind of donations as they are too are finding it even as hard as others have find it hard to sustain.

4.Return It. Since, selling, renting and even donating your timeshare doesn’t what better way than to return it to the timeshare company where you have bought it. The question is, are they still going to accept it? They might decline your request as it has been stipulated in your timeshare contract that returning of timeshares are not allowed or there are certain terms and conditions with regard to that case which turn out that returning of timeshare become impossible.

5.Make it a Perfect Gift for someone you know. Is a liability a perfect gift for someone you love?

If you bought a timeshare and cannot get out, there is hope for you. Discover what over 42,000 other timeshare owners did. The experts at Timeshare Relief can help. Visit www.timesharerelief360.com or call 866-797-0535 and get relief today.
